We’re having Rachel Ray moments in Lake Placid. We’ve tried the pizza at Nicola’s on Main, we dropped $160-ish in the Brown Dog Cafe and Wine Bar, and we had lunch at Chair 6. Lumiere appears to be closed, however, which kinda’ sucks. And we haven’t had a chance to bring food back to the condo from the Villa Vespa. This afternoon, if we’re lucky, we might eat at the Downhill Grill on the way to The Grandmother’s House. And the Coach is still holding out hope to eat at the Ho Jo’s for breakfast tomorrow morning. We did eat at one place that’s not on her list — that was the Lake Placid Pub and Brewery — and for the life of me, I don’t know why she left it off. It’s in a cool building, they have make-your-own-smores, and the beer is not bad.
People must think we’re crazy, because we have been taking pix of all of our food. I guess we really are turning into foodies. Plus, at Chair 6, we ran into some athletes (QE — I am sure they were famous! LOL!) who were talking about building new bobsleds. The one boy was especially pretty.
And now, on with my day.
