How can I work so hard and be so far behind so soon? Yes, it’s been one of those days. I had grand plans to work on my R&R today … but now it’s almost 5 p.m. and I haven’t even started yet! WTF? I ended up prepping for my grad class which took until 3 p.m. today. I then had to do some minor prep work for tomorrow’s undergrad classes. This included grading a participation assignment for my intro class — and one of the students had rude comments in her paper. (Not directed at me — it was one of those assignments where I had them swamp papers. Ugh!) Right now, I’d like to go home and nap, but I have some journal editor tasks to do.
Here is disenchanted, trying to maintain her positive attitude … and failing miserably.
I’m trying not to be behind…it’s a struggle. Yesterday I taught for the first time…now that was special.
