… and she lives in the back of beyond. No ‘net. No cafes. Just a bunch of abandoned mines and a prison camp. So, I’ll see you on the flipside!

A Good (Research) Day

Research is a tricky beast. Some days, it bites you on the ass. You’re blocked. You can’t get a word written down. You’re interrupted by other demands and end up getting bumped out of your mental space. When you have the teaching load that I have (or used to have), it’s really hard to get [...]

Tonight at dinner, R. reminded me that I had not written the post that I alluded to in this blog entry. You know, I must be the master of memory suppression because I had completely forgotten abut this whole episode! Anyhow, here’s another entry that should be subtitled “Things that Annoy Me about Sorta’ Cosmopolitan.”

The Good:
Pretty soon, I should be rolling in dough from my various summer gigs. Of course, all that extra cash is being set aside for my trip to Peru in March. Woot! This is my version of PAYGO — get the cash in hand before going on expensive trips.
The new TV is here and it [...]

The Katje plays with a paper bag. Yeah, he’s won over all the critters and is roaming the house when we are home. (BTW, his eyes do not look that green in real life. He seems more monochrome.)
