Students will always have their advising crises when their advisers are away for the summer.
Honestly, why don’t they see their advisers during the designated pre-advising period? I’ve had at least five people to deal over the past two days … and another one (who, incidentally failed all of his/her classes in the spring) coming to my office tomorrow. Between student inflow and putting out the fire from AL #1, I managed to get absolutely no research done today. It took me five hours just to go through my page proofs — and I’m not exaggerating!
Hopefully tomorrow will be quieter. I promised R. that I’d get the final changes done on our article two days ago. Ugh!
