Yes, I am alive. I’ve just been busy with the Big Ass Project for the City. We’ve been doing field work for two days now; only one more to go. Of course, I had to pick the coldest days of semester – blah. Last night, after spending 10 hours outside, I had to come home and bury myself under a big ol’ pile of blankets. Today was just as cold, but since the midday shift didn’t turn up, I was able to go home and warm up — and go out for a nice lunch with my grad student.
Now? I am home, making pasta. Then I am going to curl up with a good book and crank the heat up to 68. Ah, bliss.
Crank up to 68? That’s cold for me.
I’m willing to pay for warmth in cold weather so I keep mine at 72 during the day, but let it fall overnight by using a programable thermostat.
LOL – We’re cheap. We keep it set at 60 during the winter. I just carry a blanket around the house!
