Guess what was in my mailbox yesterday afternoon? The letter from the provost saying that my T/P has been recommended by all involved officials and will be voted on next week by the Board of Trustees. So, unofficially, it is official that I will be here for the rest of my life. I was surprised at how anticlimatic this felt, especially after stressing about it for the last 5 1/2 years.
I did, however, hang the letter on my refrigerator door. {LOL}

Hooray DY! Many enthusiastic congratulations. All the good tenure news lately hitting the blogosphere is a bright spot in the otherwise dismal state of the academy. Gives me hope. PS. Have a great time in Peru!
