Grading Hell: For the record, I am still alive, despite being buried under a heaping pile of papers and the outbreak of swine H1N1 Flu. There’s only been one case of flu in my state, but our University has a big ol’ story on its website. Paranoid much?

Purgatory.

I am in grading purgatory. Tonight, however, I am going home to eat dinner, watch movies, read a book or play Guitar Hero. {Early onset of tenuritis?}

In the previous post, I mentioned that I had students who did not cite their sources … but I could tell that they had written the paper. When I’m sick, I tend to curl up in bed and read. I have only one rule: I don’t read anything related to my research. I mean, what’s the point of reading work-related books when you’re at home, nose raw from snot-drippage, back painfully sore from coughing so hard? It’s not like I’d remember anything [...]
