In the previous post, I mentioned that I had students who did not cite their sources … but I could tell that they had written the paper. Tonight, however, I across a paper where the student lifted the material word-for-word from three sources (then I stopped grading it). I was tipped off by the fact that there was a funny (odd, not ha-ha) typo. D’oh!
Damn it! Now I have to fill out paperwork!

This might seem odd…but even though it’s annoying to fill out all the paperwork, there are people out there like myself who seriously would throw a party for you for turning people in the authorities. Nothing is more heart breaking than students who get away with it or merely fail the assignment. So many professors just brush it under the rug and move on with their day. Seriously, thank you! I will make you cookies next time you’re around

One of the things that always bothered me is that I came by my grades honestly, in an environment where I constantly saw people cheating around me and watching them get rewarded for it.
